HSC Commences 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment

There is still time to participate in the Hot Springs Health Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey for 2022. A CHNA is a systematic process involving the community to identify and analyze community health needs and assets, prioritize those needs, and then implement a plan to address significant needs. The Affordable Care Act requires non-profit hospitals like Hot Springs Health to complete a CHNA every three years.

With the survey results, in addition to other pertinent data collected and discussed, Hot Springs Health representatives and key stakeholders will:

• Build on collaboration and partnerships within the community

• Practice community-based strategic planning

• Improve education about emerging issues and community priorities

Survey data will be collected through both a link to an on-line survey and paper surveys.

The survey link, http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HSH2002survey, is available on Hot Springs Health’s website, http://www.hotspringshealth.com, and their Facebook page. Hardcopies of the survey will be available at all Hot Springs Health locations in Hot Springs County. Completed paper surveys can be returned to any HSH location. Both versions of the survey are available between October 5 and October 31.

Information collected from the anonymous survey will be reviewed by Hot Springs Health and other key stakeholders in the community at a prioritization meeting in November. Findings from that meeting will help form a 3-year action plan that will be implemented thereafter. For assistance or questions, call Miranda Nelson at Hot Springs Health at 307-864-5046.
