On September 20, the Hot Springs County Commissioners held a brief meeting at the Annex building, where there were three public hearings for liquor license renewals. Chairman Tom Ryan asked for public comments for all three individually and none were given. The commissioners voted and passed the approval of the liquor license renewal for the LLL Company and SonRise Grass Creek Guest Ranch LLC. However, for the Legion Town and Country Club, Inc, the commissioners decided to table their renewal because they had not paid the renewal fee or for the advertising.
County assessor Daniel Webber presented the Tax Rebate #2-22 from Valkyrie Operating, LLC for $6,506.14. The commissioners voted and passed the approval to accept the rebate.
The commissioners voted and passed the approval of the removal of the Hot Springs County fire ban, effective as of September 22.
Bill Gordon gave the Emergency Management report and said that he will attend a face-to-face meeting with other emergency planners in Casper on October 4-5. Gordon will also have a phone call regarding a community service block grant to discuss needs assessment. Additionally, Gordon will have a call about a cyber security grant program.
