The Bobcat Cross County team competed at the Chief Nation Invitational Cross Country meet in Ethete last Saturday.
Three varsity girls ran from Thermopolis with top finisher for the Bobcats, Ruth Johnson, coming in 14th with a time of 21:15.30. Mercedes Martinez had a time of 23:52.40 and Jayda Griffin had a time of 24:49.00.
For the varsity boys, Bobcat Jadeth Elder had a time of 19:31.80 followed by Jarek Jeffs with a time of 20:25.10, Jesse Rodriguez with a 20:46.50 and Seth Needham with a 20:50.90.
For the JV boys Teague Mann finished with a time of 28:18.10 and Joseph Crow had a time of 29:26.80.
The team is up next Thursday, Sept. 15 at Lander and then on Sept. 22 in Worland.
No results were available from the Lovell Middle School invite where the Thermopolis Middle School Cross County team competed earlier in the month. They are headed to Lander to compete on Thursday.
On Friday, Sept. 16 the cross country team is hosting a Glow Run beginning at 8:30 p.m. Meet at the high school track to participate.
