Christine G. O'Brien, 51, of Kirby, Wyo., died peacefully on August 31, 2022, at Billings Clinic in Billings, Mont., following an extended illness.
Born in Columbus, Mont., on February 1, 1971, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Audrey (Nott) Bungard. Christine spent most of her childhood in Park City and Huntley, Mont. During her adulthood she traveled around a bit, eventually settling in Thermopolis, Wyo., where she met the love of her life, Larry O'Brien. They moved to Kirby several years ago, and just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
She worked at BHE, in Thermopolis, Wyo., for many years. She became very close to her residents and loved many of them like family.
Christine was a strong and independent woman that was loved by many. She loved to laugh, joke around, go camping, ride her motorcycle and showing off in her purple Camaro. She loved her "bling", butterflies, skulls, the ocean and flowers. But, most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She was kindhearted and courageous. She would help anyone if they were in need. She was a mother figure to many of her children's friends as they were growing up, giving them guidance, love and understanding. They still lovingly call her "Mom" today!
Christine is survived by her loving husband, Larry O'Brien; sons, Zenas (Amanda) of Billings, Mont., Zachary and (Nathaniel) of Kirby, Wyo .; beautiful grandchildren, Martha, Rylee, Apollo, Ares and Dionysus; brothers and sisters, Vicky (William) Fawcett of Farmington, N.H., Leslie (Kathy) Myhre of Libby, Mont., Bonnie (Dave) Ducello of Helena, Mont., William (Rose) Myhre of Lebanon, Mo., and Sandy (Steve) Brown of Farmington, N.H .; stepsiblings, Robert Herman of Shepard, Mont., Rene (Jay) Johnson of Billings, Mont., Gary Herman of Billings, Mont., and Kim Herman of Billings, Mont .; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly. Special people in Christine's life were Dennis and Kathy O'Brien, Evelyn Saldarriaga, Steve Saldarriaga, Travis O'Brien and Bill and Erica Macie.
Our beloved Christine has Jesus her Lord and Savior and many other people waiting for her in heaven which include her daughter and best friend Laura, daughter Audrey, her mother Audrey, father Richard, and her grandmother Martha.
