Rush wins second regional Emmy

Tawnya Rush, graduate of Hot Springs County High School, now works in Billings, MT at KTVQ.

Rush, Executive Producer of News, recently took home an Emmy Award for the station’s 5:30 newscast “Wild Wind on Turkey Tuesday.”

This competition includes stations from Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington State.

Rush said, “Winning an Emmy is one of the best feelings of accomplishment in the tv business knowing the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to get a newscast on the air.”

Rush was the winner of her first Emmy Award as Producer/Host during her broadcast career in Denver, Colorado; interviewing former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and his wife Jeannie about their food program in Africa.
