Farmers Market begins Saturday

The Farmer’s Market in Thermopolis will begin this Saturday, June 11 and end on October 1 every Saturday.

For those interested in selling, you register at the market for $5 for individual weekends or $25 for the entire season. Set up is around 7:30 a.m. with the regular times from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. The location of the Farmers’ Market is on 5th Street next to Bicentennial Park.

Farmers’ Market representative Becky Hutson said they are looking for a young person who might be interested in getting paid to help set it up and tear down the tables and canopies.

Typically, in the past seasons, there have been between 15 and 20 vendors selling items such as peanut butter, vegetables, jewelry, and many other handmade items.

Hutson added, “You’re welcome to bring homegrown vegetables, bakery products, anything you’ve made yourself. And items such as pickles and yogurt and meat. The Wyoming food safety laws are pretty lenient at this point to where you know about anything goes.”

Vendors will need to bring their own table and shade. They will need to sign a consent form to participate.

Harold Hutson usually plays music during the market.
