Julie Mortimore seeks re-election as treasurer

Julie Mortimore has announced that she is running for re-election as Hot Springs County Treasurer. She is hoping to add onto her 40 years of service.

Mortimore began her service in November of 1982 and was promoted to the position of Chief Deputy Treasurer in 1984. She was elected as county treasurer in 2014. She has worked to implement changes to benefit the citizens of HSC including the simplified offering of credit card payments, online payments and more.

“I have kept on top of recent legislative changes regarding the collection and billing of ad valorem property taxes and feel as if I have the necessary resources available to me to see the residents of our county through this tough transition,” said Mortimore.

Mortimore added, “As a lifelong resident I believe that I know this county, its economy and the people that live here. I understand the challenges facing our citizens. I care about you and will continue to strive to serve you.”
