Film includes trip though Thermop

The Wyoming Symphonic Films by Dall Wilson wraps for the season with a four-part episode arcing across the state from Sundance to Ten Sleep and back by Thermopolis.

“Gillette is the brief beginning. Next is Buffalo and its intriguing museum. Bighorns and Ten Sleep will be followed by Thermopolis and the Wind River Canyon arcing back to Sundance. So a big sustained work, and a pleasure to embrace these places. Each section will be released as its musical score is completed,” Wilson said.

For Dall Wilson, creating the Symphonic Film series is an opportunity to explore, create new music, and share each encounter with nature, people, and places. YouTube releases are low rez. The HD broadcast quality video,  select gallery prints 11x17”, scores and related graphics complete each piece.

Dall Wilson’s Symphonic Films join his compositions for voice. Dall’s musical “Aliss Afire” celebrates the Gilded Age 1890s sound and performers who inspired the West to build opera houses. Developed in NYC “Aliss” features bass, soprano, and 3 costars plus company and based on true events.

Dall’s Symphonic Film episodes range from minutes to over two hours with new music for orchestra inspired by the experience shown by the images of that day. Certain episodes feature artists, sculptors, and poets. Select episodes are demo’d on YouTube. On ITunes are “Bluegrass Symphony” and the art song “I Must Dare All” (lyric from ancient Greece). His ongoing Symphonic Films are set across North America.
