Bobcat golf season opens in Worland

Bobcat golfers had a strong opening at the Worland Spring Golf Tournament last Friday.

For the high school boys, Hardy Johnson shot an impressive 75, finishing just two strokes behind Worland’s Karsten Simmons who won with a 73. Wyatt McDermott shot an 86, Seth Weyer an 88, Jonah Needham a 103 and Spencer Calhoun a 108. Middle schooler Trevin Shaffer shot a 101.

For the girls, Thermopolis had one competitor Ki Kraushaar who shot a 110.

The tournament included players from Cody, Powell, Lovell, Lander, Buffalo, Sheridan, Green River, Kemmerer and Worland, giving the Bobcats a wide range of competition.

This week, the Bobcats are set to host a home tournament on Thursday, weather permitting.
