Bobcats fall short at state

Last weekend was the end of the Bobcat boys 3A basketball season at State in Casper.

Thursday the boys went up against Powell Panthers and lost 70-40 in a tough game. That sent them to the consolation semi-finals where they faced the Worland Warriors. The Bobcats battled hard showing the heart that got them to state but fell short of a win, 59-52, eliminating them from moving on.

Individual Bobcats had some impressive stats for the season. Stats are through regional games.

Senior Hardy Johnson scored over 400 points for the season followed by senior Adley Coyne with 198, senior Jase Longwell with 189, Cord Simmeral with 188 and Gavin Shumway with 171.

Johnson made 46 three pointers throughout the season and Shumway made 22.

Johnson had 153 total rebounds with Coyne bringing in 145, Longwell 121 and Simmeral 103.

No coaches comments on the state games were received.
