Spring calf crop

Spring is calving season for most area ranchers. It is one of the most labor intensive and important times in the year for cattle producers. Most producers carefully monitor their cattle's health and nutrition going in winter/spring so the cows can produce a healthy calf. Last week's snow and very cold temperatures, as low as -17 degrees, have had ranchers working hard to make sure their calves survive the elements. This week's warmer temps offered a much needed break.
