Middle school boys season progressing

Thermopolis Middle School 8th grade Bobcats have had a busy and winning schedule. 

Last Monday the Bobcats played against Greybull with the final score of 53-27. The Bobcats fought hard and continued to sink baskets. 

Playing against Greybull the Bobcats only had one game and were able to utilize its bench and get all players play time.  Defense was strong, only allowing 2 points in the 1st and 4 in the 3rd. Nine Bobcats were able to score during the game including sinking a few three pointers. Top scorers of the game were; Hastie with 10, Coale with 9 and Dukes with 8.  

Saturday the Bobcat eighth grade boys took on Powell and Cody with both A and B teams coming home with the win. The A-team against Powell won 43-19. 

The Cats came out to play with an early lead 25-6 going into the half. The Cats moved the ball well and were able to find the open shots. Defense played a big factor for the A-team.  Top scorers were; Peil with 11 points and Bomengen with 9. 

The B-team won 37-19, also playing strong defense and making the shots count. Top scorers of the game were; Elder 18 points and Pebbles with 6. 

The Cats played against Cody as well on Saturday and again both A and B came out with the win.  The A-team Cats won 49-37. The Cats played as a team and even though they faced trouble in the third quarter they were able to play as a team and win the game. Top scorers were Hastie with 12, Dukes and Bomengen both with 10 points.

The B-team had a close game as well with the final score being 37-34.

On Monday the seventh grade Bobcats A and B teams won against Greybull.  The A team won 31-17 and B-team 22-18. 

Top Scores were; Simeral with 11, Johnson with 9 with 3 three pointers, McPhie with 8 and King with 5 points. 

Against Cody and Powell the seventh grade Cats were not able to walk away with the win with final scores being, A-team 10-36 against Cody and 36-64 against Powell.  The B-team against Cody was 26-34 and 20-23 against Powell.
