Ronald Joe Carswell

Ronald Joe Carswell passed away February 2, 2022, in Thermopolis, Wyo.

Ron was born June 2, 1959 to Allen and Agatha (Grassl) Carswell in Casper, Wyo. The family moved to Thermopolis, Wyo., where he attended school in Hot Springs County and graduated from high school. After school he worked in the oil fields around the area until he started his own business in the 80s. He operated Ron's Welding and Pump Service until he retired a few years ago due to ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Sammy) Carswell; brothers, Wayne (Kim) Carswell of Thermopolis, Paul (Judy) Carswell of Thermopolis and Kenneth Carswell of Pinedale; sister, Jeannine Barnes of Salmon, Idaho; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and tons of friends.

He loved the outdoors, fishing and playing pool. He lived and cared for his mother until her later years. He helped anyone who needed it.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Ben Barnes; and stepson, Wyatt Sommers.

There will be a memorial for Ron at a later date to be announced.
