Daniel Franklin

Daniel Franklin, 70, passed away January 4, 2022, at Hot Springs Health in Thermopolis following a period of declining health.

Born June 18, 1951, in Paso Robles, Calif., he was the son of Wesley and Lydia (Clausen) Franklin. After earning his PhD he was employed as an engineer for PG&E for many years in California.

In the late 90’s he married Lynda Losey in California. The couple moved to Wyoming in the mid 2000’s eventually settling in Thermopolis along with their good friend, Roberta Elwell, with whom they had been friends for over thirty years.

Dan was a knowledgeable man who was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and being with his grandchildren.

Known survivors include his brother, Ed Franklin of Nevada; daughter, Ingrid of Pasa Robles; stepsons, Roger Saint Vincent of Arvada, Colo., and Craig Saint Vincent of Las Vegas; the couple’s best friend, Roberta, of Thermopolis; and several grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and recently, his wife, Lynda.
