Fire department elects officers

The Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department has elected officers for 2022.

Mark Collins will continue as Chief, Bryce Gilbert is Assistant Chief, Ryan Georgius is Captain, Jim Andreen is 1st Lieutenant, London Jenks is 2nd Lieutenant, James Coates is Secretary and Mark Nelson will serve as Treasurer.

The Fire Department also released the breakdown of their call outs for 2021. Our local volunteers responded to a total of 99 calls including 18 vehicle crashes, 13 false alarms, 5 structure fires, 27 grass fires, 8 good intent/service calls, 6 haz mat/gas meter calls, 4 dumpster fires, 2 vehicle fires, 1 powerline issue and 15 calls that were cancelled on route.
