Great Until 8 Saturday evening

Main Street Thermopolis’ Great until 8! event takes place this Saturday, Jan. 8. This second Saturday event showcases the businesses who are staying open until 8 p.m. or later in town. Main Street continues to grow the roster of participants and fine-tune this monthly event.

Main Street Thermopolis encourages shoppers and strollers to come out for the event. President Suzanne Samelson commented that “this is a great opportunity to start off the New Year by showing support for all the Thermopolis businesses, especially those who are committed to staying open late on the second Saturday.” Samelson added that “the forecast is that we will be coming out of the deep freeze.”

December’s Great until 8! raffle winner was local artist Gavin Turner. He won a gift certificate for $100 for purchases to be made at Discover Thermopolis, where his receipt was from.

To enter the drawing for a $100 gift certificate, shoppers should bring their receipts from the participating businesses, with the date and time of purchase on them, to Discover Thermopolis by 8:15 p..m. Saturday. The gift certificate will be valid at the business with the winning receipt.

This Saturday’s event includes the following businesses who have committed to a year-long participation and will be open until 8 p.m. or in the case of some of the food establishments until later than 8 p.m.: Aunt Teak and Uncle Junk, Bangkok Thai Restaurant, Discover Thermopolis, Flying Eagle Gallery, Gooseberry Garden Quilt Shop, Hazel -N- Pearls/Double J Junk, Lazy Fox Artisan Goods, Los Cabos Restaurant, OEB Saloon, One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company, P6 Station, The Shoppe Floral and Gift, and Three Sisters Gallery.

Several of the businesses are offering specials during the event.

Shoppers may pick up a map of the participating businesses at Discover Thermopolis, 541 Broadway and remember to drop off their receipts from participating businesses for the drawing by 8:15 p.m. Details of the event are subject to change.
