Two trees are up in the community with names of people who’s Christmas you can make a little brighter.
Elf Tree
The Elf Tree Program is designed to help Hot Springs County families in need with a little extra in the way of Christmas gifts for their children.
Parents or guardians may sign up their children, ages birth -17 years old, until Dec 10 at the Department of Family Services, 403 Big Horn.
The Elf Tree is located at Storyteller and will be taken down on December 16.
Wrapped gifts, with the Elf tag attached for identification, need to be delivered to Storyteller or the Department of Family Services by December 20.
If people have any questions, they can contact Mischke at 864-2158 ex. 10.
Angel tree
Names for the 2021 Senior Citizen Angel Tree are available at Bank of Thermopolis. With the amazing response to the event in previous years, there’s plenty of excitement to share the experience with the community again.
All gifts for the tree need to be wrapped and returned no later than Monday, Dec. 13, to ensure the seniors receive their gifts by Christmas.
The tree is sponsored by the bank as well as Thermopolis Rehab and Wellness and the Wyoming Pioneer Home.
For any questions, call the bank at 864-3787.
