Lighted Christmas Parade Saturday

The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce has several activities going on this December to celebrate the Christmas holiday. 

 According to Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce CEO Meri Ann Rush, the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 11 beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland.

Line up begins at 5:30 p.m. on Senior Avenue. The parade route will head west on Arapahoe and turn left on 5th Street and right on Broadway and will turn around at the turn around at the stoplight on 6th and Broadway and proceed east on Broadway to 4th Street.

Rush added that Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be able to participate in the parade but are unable to stay for pictures or visits. 

 The chamber is holding their Merry Christmas Market in December.

To participate, shop locally at businesses participating in the Merry Christmas Market. The list can be found at http://www.thermopolischamber.org. Bring your receipt with your name and phone number written on it to the Chamber of Commerce, 220 Park Street or upload a copy of your receipt to info@thermopolischamber.org.

Please make sure the dates and purchases are clearly legible. Receipts must be from participating businesses to be valid. Receipts will not be carried forward week to week, all prior week’s receipts will be destroyed after the drawing. When you turn in your receipts, you will receive a Main Street Thermopolis key chain.

The chamber has two drawings remaining, December 15 for $250 in Chamber Bucks and December 22 for $500 in Chamber Bucks to thank you for shopping local.

 The chamber is also holding its 5th Annual Window Decorating Contest. Help the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce make Thermopolis look festive for the holiday season and decorate your business window front.

The winning entry wins $100 in Chamber Bucks. Voting will be done on Facebook or at the Chamber Office. The contest runs from December 10-21, with the winner being announced on December 22.
