Businesses open until 8 p.m. Saturday

Main Street Thermopolis’ Great until 8! event continues this Saturday, Dec. 11. This monthly event will be part of the festivities in downtown which include the Lighted Christmas Parade. With the goal of promoting businesses in Hot Springs County to stay open until 8 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month, the promotion is continuing to expand. Main Street continues to grow the roster of participants and fine-tune this monthly event.

Main Street Thermopolis’ president, Suzanne Samelson reported that the feedback from both businesses and shoppers continues to be favorable. “This coming Saturday there will be a lot going on in the town and you don’t want to miss out on it,” was the advice from Main Street. The November Great until 8! Winner was Judith Hillner, from Big Timber, Mont. Hillner won a gift certificate for $100 for purchases to be made at Discover Thermopolis.

There will be a drawing again this month for a prize of a $100 gift certificate. Shoppers will enter receipts from participating businesses for purchases made from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 11. Shoppers should make sure their receipts have the date and time on them to be eligible for the drawing, which will take place at Discover Thermopolis (541 Broadway) at 8:15 p.m. to allow folks time to enter their receipts in the drawing. The $100 gift certificate will be usable at the business with the winning receipt.

This Saturday’s event includes the following businesses who have committed to a year-long participation and will be open until 8 p.m. or in the case of some of the food establishments until later than 8 p.m.: Aunt Teak and Uncle Junk, Bangkok Thai Restaurant, Discover Thermopolis, Flying Eagle Gallery, Gooseberry Garden Quilt Shop, Hazel -N- Pearls/Double J Junk, Lazy Fox Artisan Goods, Los Cabos Restaurant, OEB Saloon, One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company, P6 Station, Roundtop General Store, The Shoppe Floral and Gift, and Three Sisters Gallery.
