Middle school wrestling conference hits town Saturday

The Thermopolis Middle School Bobcats started their Thanksgiving vacation traveling to Greybull for some wrestling competition.

The Bobcats walked away with 12 wins out of 17 matches. 

“They came out aggressive and stayed in a good position,” said coach Toby Emery.

He added,“They are starting to come together, especially their technique and conditioning.”

In the first period, five Bobcat wrestlers pinned their opponents with Armani Dukes pinning two, and Lilly Quintanilla, Wiley Jones, Clint Kimes and Trevin Shaffer each with one pin. 

In the second period Dyllan Myers, Stone Pebbles, Wiley Jones and Cody Bomengen pinned their opponents. 

Haeden Blair pinned his opponent in the third and Cannon Boren won his match by points. 

The Bobcat Middle School Wrestlers are wrapping up their season with a quad in Cody early this week and then Conference on home turf Saturday at 10 a.m.
