Roger Keith Mayne

Roger Keith Mayne, 67, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home in Thermopolis surrounded by his family.

Born May 6, 1956, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was one of seven children of Alex and Elizabeth (McKeehan) Mayne. He was named All State Football Player in Ohio in 1971, and graduated from Kings Mills High School in 1972. He served in the US Air Force four years where he developed his love for Wyoming. After military duty he was employed as Inventory Specialist/Civil Engineer at Connector Industries.

In 1988 he married Leoria Jo Aker in Morrow, Ohio. Developing a love for interior/exterior painting, Roger took the initiative to start a painting business "Taurus Painting" retiring from the business after 42 years. The family moved to Thermopolis, WY in 1999.

Loving his family and furries is what he did best. His family and circle of friends was his pride and joy for when they hurt, he hurt; when they laughed, so did he. He loved telling them stories-many true-a few, stretched, but that's what made him who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Leoria, of 36 years; daughter, Rion (Mike) Abrams of Cheyenne, Wyo .; siblings, Ernest and Paul of Ohio, Phyllis Bright of Loveland, Ohio, Ruth Brayton, of Kings Mill, Ohio, and Kathy Holland of Fairfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Hayden Mayne of Thermopolis, and Isaac and Destiny Abrams of Cheyenne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna; nephews, Jeff, Rodney and Steve; and niece, Crickett.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday in 2022, place and time to be announced.

Memorials may be made to HSC Relay for Life, P.O. Box 548, Thermopolis, 82443.
