TMS wrestlers perform strong

Bobcat Middle School Wrestlers took on Riverton and Lander for their home dual on Thursday showing many "improvements on the mat," according to coach Toby Emery. 

Against Lander the Bobcats won 15 out of 21 matches with Stone Pebbles defeating his opponent with a very quick pin in 25 seconds. Lilly Quintanilla accomplished a first round defeat in 48 seconds and Wiley Jones with a 57 second pin. 

Winning 7 out of 12 matches against Riverton, Armani Dukes had a 49 second pin in the first period. Lilly Quintanilla and Trevin Shaffer each earned a pin in 52 seconds, and Cannon Boren with a pin in 1.02. 

"We have much better technique and are being more aggressive on our feet," said coach Emery about the Bobcat wrestlers. 

Saturday the Bobcats traveled to the "Basin for the Brawl"  tournament held in Worland placing 9 out of 10 wrestlers and placing 2nd as a team. 

In Worland the Bobcat wrestlers crowned three champions including Lilly Quintanilla 91A, Cannon Boren 105A and Armani Dukes 165A.

The Thermopolis Middle School Bobcat Wrestlers take on Lander Saturday, Nov. 20 in Lander starting at 10 am.
