The Lady Cats had a tough weekend on the road taking on Buffalo on Friday and then playing in Douglas on Saturday.
Coach Shannon Hill said,"In Buffalo on Friday, we didn't play super well but we had some new players in certain positions. We played fairly consistently, we just couldn't put the ball away and then we would get stuck sending the easy stuff over or sending too easy of a serve and Buffalo has too good of hitters for us to do that,"
Hill added, "Lexi Overfield played well for us in a new position and played consistently," added Hill.
Scores from the Buffalo game: 14-25; 19-25; 14-25.
Stats: Lexi Overfield 8 kills, 2.3 serve/receive; Caydence Becher 2 aces.
The Lady Cats then played in Douglas on Saturday.
"That was a rough match. We were not playing anywhere close to our potential and we had no sense of competitiveness," said Hill.
Scores from Douglas include: 14-25; 8-25; 7-25
Stats: Julie Johnson 3 kills; Lexi Overfield 3 kills; Caydence Becher 3 kills and Kiyah Oliver 1 ace.
"We get to start fresh this weekend though and play Burns first round of regionals. We would really appreciate the support from the community," said Hill.
