Bobcats finish season at home

The Bobcat football team had a solid performance on Friday evening when they took on the visiting Pinedale Wranglers.  The Bobcats took a 28-0 lead into half time, and were able to play some young players late in the game and come away with a 42-20 win.

Coach Matt McPhie said that Owen McCumber was one of the stars of the game.  “McCumber nailed all six of his kicks. Owen has done a tremendous job this season.  He works with purpose on his craft, and he has become a really good kicker.  We look forward to the weapon he will be for us next season,” added McPhie.

Adley Coyne led the way on both sides of the ball. Coyne had two touchdowns on offense and had three sacks and 28 defensive points for the team.

Jack Ream, Wyatt McDermott, and Eli McCumber also added touchdowns in the contest.

McPhie said, “The offensive line did a great job.  The bobcat team amassed 390 yards rushing on the night. Gavin Shumway added a rushing touchdown along with his two touchdown passes.”

McPhie added, “Jarek Sorensen played great on the offensive and defensive line.  Austin Barral played great in his senior finale. Matt Music and Damiyan Gosnell also had nice games for the Bobcat team.”
