Weekend packed full of events

The weekend is packed full of events so get ready to have some fun.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, Boy Scout Troop 53 will be completing their Eagle Project and hosting a Costume Contest at Monument Hill Cemetery. There are two sessions, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m.

There will be cash prizes awarded at each session. The public is invited to help the Scouts take pictures of the graves for uploading into the ancestry databases. Creepy treats will be served.

Also on Saturday, the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints is hosting a Trunk or Treat at 5 p.m. at 625 S. 10th St. Bring the family and fill the little one’s treat bags.

The Risen Son Baptist Church is hosting a Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-8 p.m. at 342 Amoretti. The fun will include hot dogs, chili, hall of treats, popcorn, hay rides and games.

Also on Sunday, First Responders are hosting a Trunk or Treat at the Fire Hall from 6-8 p.m. Participating agencies include: HSC Search and Rescue, Thermopolis Fire Department, Thermopolis Police Department, HSC Sheriff’s Office, Wyoming Highway Patrol and EMS.
