Football team hosts Lyman Friday

The Bobcat football team traveled to Cokeville last week and came away with a 46-12 loss to the 5th ranked Panthers.

“The team battled all day but in the end, the inability to take care of the football caught up with them. The team was plagued by dropped passes and poor quarterback/center exchanges,” said coach McPhie.

He added, “The team did have some success, but against a good opponent like Cokeville, the mistakes were too much to overcome.”

Eli McCumber played another solid game of football on both sides of the ball.  Eli caught the opening score for the team, hauling in a pass from Gavin Shumway.  McCumber caught 4 passes for 50 yards. Roedy Farrell scored the other touchdown for the Bobcats.

Adley Coyne also had a good game on the defensive side of the ball.

Wyatt McDermott had a season high 3 catches for 44 yards. McDermott also played a really good game from his defensive linebacker position.

The team will take on Lyman this Friday at home. Game time is 4 p.m.
