Bobcats host golf dual against Worland

Last week was a unique and fun week for the Bobcat golfers.

They had a dual at home with Worland on Thursday and then played in the Lovell invite on Friday.

"Thursday we turned in some great scores that really has us excited to host state in 2 weeks on Sept. 17," said coach Brandon Deromedi.

The boys team score came in at a 321, just two points shy of Worland at 319.

Hardy Johnson placed first with a 64. Hadley Johnson came in fourth with a score of 78. Seth Weyer finished with an 89, Will Clark with a 90, Jonah Needham with a 103, Hayden Overfield with a 104, Tyler Chrisien with a 116, Spencer Calhoun with a 119 and Chris Bapst with a 121.

"Lovell's Foster Gulch always provides a challenge for us as it is a very unassuming golf course," said Deromedi

In Lovell, Hardy Johnson finished fourth with a 78. Seth Weyer scored a 93, Johah Needham a 99, Hadley Johnson a 104, Will Clark a 107, Spencer Calhoun a 110 and Hayden Overfield a 122.

"I am proud of our kids during both days of competition as they showed confidence at home and showed that they can persevere while in Lovell.  We will need both characteristics down the stretch," said Deromedi.

With Hot Springs County School District going to virtual learning, all sports and activities are canceled until school resumes on Sept. 13.
