New Farmers Insurance agent

Lisa Beamer is the new agent owner of the Farmers Insurance office in Thermopolis. The previous agent was Robb Williamson, who moved back to Lander for family reasons.

Beamer said, “I’ve been the Farmers Insurance agent in Worland since 2015.” The Thermopolis office is staffed Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. till 5 p.m. Beamer is at the Thermopolis office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday. Beamer added, “Lainie Denton, agency manager, is in the office every day. Mondays and Wednesdays my producer is at the Thermopolis office. This allows two staff members to always be in the office.”

Beamer added about being at the Thermopolis location, “I love that we’ve been able to meet new people, to meet new customers.”

Farmers Insurance sells policies for homeowners, auto, commercial, specialty, such as campers, motorcycles or mobile homes. Beamer also provides life insurance and has a special designation where she can provide financial services. She can sell Roth IRAs, mutual funds and help with retirement planning.

Beamer also continues a community project where, for the past few years, the agency in town has dropped off sheets to the Ralph Whitter Elementary teachers asking how they can help. The teachers fill out the sheet and then the local Farmers Insurance office buys the items they requested as a donation to benefit the community. The items include markers, facial tissue, colored pencils, glue sticks, etc.

The only changes for Farmers Insurance customers is that they are open for more hours and they have more staffing. Also, even if Beamer is not present at the Thermopolis office, their phones are set up to allow customers to reach her in their Worland office. Customers can still call 864-2598.

When it comes to what Beamer enjoys most about her job, she said, “To be successful in anything, you have to love people and believe in what you do. And I do. I love people. I love being able to make sure the assets people have worked hard for are protected. Farmers Insurance is the best at claims. We work really hard at being great at customer service. I feel good when I sell a product and I can put my name on it. Those are the good things.”

For Beamer’s future plans, she would like to hire another producer for the Thermopolis office and get out and continue to meet the people of the community.
