Author of The Constitution Study visits Thermopolis

The local Oath Keepers Chapter and the Best Western sponsored a visit from author Paul Engel, founder of The Constitution Study.

Engel started The Constitution Study, started in 2014 as a program to ensure our children and grandchildren are educated in the rights and freedoms

protected by our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

"Like many of you, I am a product of the public schools, in my case mostly through the 1970s. It's a sad state of affairs, but I learned more about our

Constitution from School House Rock than I did in all the social studies classes in 12 years of government run schooling. Little did I realize how far we had drifted from the supreme law of the land! I didn't know because I didn't care. Like many of you I thought the Constitution was for lawyers and judges," said Engel. Engel believes that most people do not know enough about the Constitution and the rights and freedoms it protects. He explains that the Constitution Study is dedicated to educating everyday Americans in the knowledge of our constitutionally protected rights.

Engel said "Our founding fathers pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to support the idea that America should be free."

Engel's book, The Constitution Study, was available during his visit to Thermopolis. He spoke with locals at Kirby Creek Mercantile during a Thermopolis

stop on his tour.

With his books, podcasts, articles and your own discussion meetings, Engel hopes to help citizens learn about the Constitution and then spread the knowledge in their own communities and in their own homes. For more information, visit http://constitutionstudy.com
