Jane Lynn Oldridge, 69, of Thermopolis, passed away in her bed unexpectedly the morning of Friday, August 6, 2021, after a nice day planning her favorite activities, a shopping trip to Cody, Wyo., and a visit to the LDS Temple in Billings, Mont.
Born June 7, 1952, in London, Ontario, Jane became a Canadian Southern Belle when her family moved to St Petersburg, Fla., when she was 12 years old.
After graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Southern American History, Jane worked at GTE/Verizon for 32 years.
After her retirement, Jane was enticed to move to Thermopolis to be near her former GTE coworker, Andrea Linn, who had moved to Thermopolis earlier.
Jane, a self-professed Princess, enjoyed shopping, eating out and caring for her dogs, Louis, Chloe, and Jazzy. In her free time she also loved to knit and color.
Jane was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, the Thermopolis Eastern Star Chapter, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hennrietta; father, Clifford, and brother, Gary.
Mortimore Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Messages may be offered at www.mortfh.com.
