County library hosting book signing, movie screening

Hot Springs County Library is hosting a book signing and a movie screening in July.

The book signing is set for July 15 at 6 p.m. Scott Werbelow, author of Son of a Poacher, will be on hand to sign his book. Werbelow said “My father was a poacher and an alcoholic and died at the early age of 40. My stepfather Martin Mayland was my mentor in my life and trusted me to do most anything at a young age.”

The book takes readers on an autobiographical journey from his earliest memories of growing up on a remote Wyoming ranch to his first day on the job as a game warden.

A movie screening is set for July 21 at 6:30 p.m. The featured film will be A Noble Pursuit by Leigh Reagan Smith. The document is about preservation of public lands.
