The Executive Committee going forward is Suzanne Samelson, President; Johnny Dorman, Vice President; Meri Ann Rush, Treasurer; and Tracy Linko, Secretary.

The board accepted the proposed 2021-2022 budget. Main Street is looking to fill vacancies on the board and welcomes inquiries about what is involved.

The board discussed the June 5 Brewfest and while there are not yet final numbers; the event was a success based on the rough numbers so far.

The Brewfest for 2022 will be on Saturday, June 4.

Also discussed was the Farmers Market. Main Street will participate in the Market starting on Saturday, July 10. Main Street will be providing a hand sanitizing station for the Farmers Market.

Main Street has been awarded a Summer Placemaking grant and will begin working on that soon. Details of the grant include extending the decorative lighting north on Fifth Street and west on Arapahoe Street. The grant also includes improvements to the Bicentennial Park, seasonal banners and painting the flagpole brackets on Broadway. There will be announcements once the Placemaking Committee knows when they will be working and how volunteers can help.

Main Street has also learned that two of the applicants for the National Park Service/National Main Street façade improvement grants have advanced and are awaiting final approval.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, July 22 at 6 p.m. at the Main Street office. Use the side entrance of Central Bank and Trust and go to the right.
