Hake Realty opens office

Hake Realty has opened a new office in Thermopolis.

Nikki Donahue, Worland, is the responsible broker and they are an independently owned and operated franchise part of Real Living.

Regarding the limited inventory of housing in Thermopolis Donahue said, “It’s a common problem nationwide right now but we’ve got a lot of resources from the franchise to help us get out there. We’re really just trying to give our sellers more resources to determine whether or not it is a good time to sell. That’s been really successful in the Worland market. We call them ‘lifestyle planning’. Either get them up to that next home, upgrading or downsizing, maybe getting their first home, whatever that life period they’re going through...It’s more than being a salesman but being community experts and advisors.”

Also, regarding the skyrocketing prices of lumber and the issues of construction Donahue said, “We do have customers that want to build surprisingly. The lumber prices haven’t completely brought that to a halt. The big problem we’re seeing though is a lot of these builders are booked two years out right now. They are so busy. There are some customers waiting for those prices to come back down. I don’t think it’s going to be at least until next year.”

Their office at 717 Broadway is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Donahue said, “We’ve got a couple of agents that live over in Thermopolis. They are Leidy Karns and Del Michel.”
