The Bobcat boys golf team took second place at the spring golf conference tournament last week in Cheyenne.
Bobcat golfer Hardy Johnson earned tournament champion shooting a 164.
Maddie Stam scored 215.
Wyatt McDermott shot a 188, Will Clark shot a 197, Seth Weyer shot a 204 and Kyle Roessing a 229 for a total of 753 for the boys team.
Maddie Stam, Hardy Johnson and Wyatt McDermott earned all conference honors.
"I was very proud of the determination and grit the kids showed this last weekend in Cheyenne as the weather was unfavorable," said head coach Brandon Deromedi.
The players dealt with lighting, wind, rain, fog and cool temperatures to finish the year out. "Not once did I hear a complaint from them about the conditions," said Deromedi.
Deromedi said on the boys side of the team they didn't post the scores they had hoped to on Friday but the boys rebounded and posted some great scores given the conditions on Saturday.
The girls side was just the opposite with Maddie posting a 104 on Friday.
"The country club in Cheyenne is a difficult course on fair weather days so I thought it said a lot about the athletes given the scores that were posted," added Deromedi.
This was the last tournament for seniors Maddie and Kyle and their experience will be missed next season.
"We will bring quite a bit of youth that has a lot of experience into our fall season so I look forward to more great things," said Deromedi.
He added, "Thank you to the players and parents for their dedication to golf."
