Logan Cole breaks school record in shot put

The Bobcat Track and Field team competed in at the Lovell Invitational last week.

Senior Logan Cole took first place in discus with a throw of 156-04, breaking the Bobcat school record. He was just shy of reaching the school record for the shot put with his first place finish throw of 52-00.

Head coach Stephanie Metz said Jayci Basse performed great in the 300 hurdles and pre qualified for state.

Julie Johnson stepped up to her first time throwing shot put for the Bobcats and came home with a strong sixth place finish.

According to Metz, the performances of Johnson and Cole indicate what a great job coach Calder Forcella is doing.

Metz said she is proud of how well the freshmen and sophomores are competing since they are going up against upperclassmen on a regular basis.

The Bobcats competed in Riverton on Monday and they will be back in Riverton on Saturday. The Bobcat home invite is set for May 7.
