Evelyn Ann Sutherland

Evelyn Ann Sutherland, 68, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the Billings Clinic in Montana after a time of declining health. She was presently living in Sheridan, Wyo.

Born April 23, 1952, in Casper, Wyo., she was one of four children of Roderick and Mildred (Wolfe) Mackearney.

For most of her life she did clerical work in an office and was a teller at Pinnacle Bank in Thermopolis. She was a member of BPO Does and active with the Eastern Star Vesper Chapter #19. Evelyn was a good cook and enjoyed camping.

In 1968 she married Kenneth Talmadge and to this union was born two children. The couple later divorced. Evelyn married Michel "Mike" Sutherland, November 4, 1972, in Craig, Colo., which blended their two families together. After 39 years the couple divorced.

She is survived by her children, Brett Talmadge of Alaska and Ann Talmadge of Sheridan, Wyo.;  stepson, David (Wendy) Sutherland of Riverton; several grandchildren; a few great grandchildren; several nieces; her children's father, Kenneth Talmadge; former husband, Mike Sutherland; brother-in-law, Steven (Linda) Sutherland; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded her in death by her parents; and siblings, Rod and Alan Mackearney and Mary O'Connor.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at Monument Hill Cemetery with Vesper Chapter #19 conducting services. A light lunch will follow at the Masonic Lodge in Thermopolis.
