Dorothy speaks at Rotary

Thermopolis Rotary Club met at Kirby Creek Mercantile last week.

Member Jackie Dorothy was the guest speaker. 

Dorothy has a consulting business, Legend Rock Media Productions, and is the director of Travel and Tourism for Hot Springs County.

She explained how she used Internet site analytics to determine the top three sites searched for in Thermopolis/Hot Springs County. 

They are the hot springs, fishing and the Ava’s Rock Shop.

Travel and Tourism produced a beautiful magazine and has another one planned. 

They are working on a new website, a things to do list and all types of media including but not limited to social media, publications and radio.

Dorothy emphasized that the focus is on what will bring tourists to Thermopolis.  The goal is to try and fill hotels year around.

Travel and Tourism is establishing three webcams placed in the State Park.  Internet service is now available in the State Park also.
