Janice Lee “Jan” Edmonds, 76, passed away at Hot Springs Health on Thursday, February 18, 2021, after a two year battle with leukemia.
Born March 12, 1944, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of William and Nina (Thomas) Oshford. After high school she became a hairdresser working in various states, retiring after 36 years.
On December 30, 1964 she married Lester Edmonds in Nebraska. They lived in Thermopolis until her husband’s failing health took them to New Mexico where he died in 2000. She later returned to Thermopolis.
A member of Community Federated Church she enjoyed reading the Bible and sewing.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee Ownsby of Thermopolis; sister, Bev Daibelliehn of St. George, Utah; four grandchildren; and close family friends, Clay Bell, Bob Stephenson, Kayloni Blair and LaLoni Flinn.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Community Federated Church. To assist with funeral expenses, memorials may be sent to Dee Ownsby, 519 Washakie, Thermopolis, 82443.
