Wyoming GOP votes to censure Cheney

RAWLINS - The Wyoming Republican Party State Central committee held a regular quarterly meeting in Rawlins February 5th and 6th, 2021.

Friday afternoon the budget and audit and executive committee’s met.

That evening a celebration of President Ronald Reagan’s 110th birthday was observed with food and beverages, a special rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance, and video clips of Reagan’s 80th birthday including Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher making a speech at his party.

On Saturday morning the meeting opened with a quorum of voting members present. Two different news crews brought video cameras to the meeting. Approximately 30 non-member guests were present. Guests were invited to, and did share comments and questions on Resolutions presented.

A resolution that was passed in approximately (15 counties) prior to this meeting was brought to the floor to censure Representative Liz Cheney. The Resolution passed with an overwhelming majority.

Other resolutions were passed on the topic of election integrity: One supporting a run-off

election in Wyoming, another supporting a Protect the Vote candidate pledge.

Another Resolution passed calling for Governor Gordon to bring Wyoming’s Guard troops home.

The next meeting of the Wyoming Republican Party State Central Committee May 14-15 at a location TBD.
