Elizabeth Jean 'Beth' Stehlin

Elizabeth Jean "Beth" Stehlin, 76, passed away at her home in Thermopolis, early Friday, January 15, 2021, after a time of failing health. Stillwater Hospice tended to her needs during her illness.

Born August 27, 1944, in Turell, Ark., she was the daughter of Manchester and Ruth (Berger) Walker. On November 7, 1962, she married Robert J. Stehlin, Jr in University City, Mo. The couple moved to West Chicago, Ill., where they lived for over 30 years before coming to Thermopolis in 2007.

For much of her life Beth was a custodian, first at Tri-Star Building Service and then she started her own janitorial service. 

She was a member of St. Francis Church. Beth enjoyed embroidery which included embroidering handmade cards. She also liked to sew and cook.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of 58 years; sons, James and Ernest, both of Illinois, Robert James III of Wyoming and Sean of Idaho; daughter, Theresa Stenlund of Florida; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great, great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers.
