Ralph Semer Wilson, 74, returned to his heavenly home on January 9, 2021, after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Ralph was born to the late Ralph Sr. and Lucette Wilson and grew up in Westminster, Colo. He graduated from Iber C Ranum High School in 1965 followed by one year in Community College in Colorado. He joined the Army in 1966 and was part of the HHC 2nd D Battalion 9th Infantry during the Korean War.
Ralph was blessed with a loving family. He married his best friend and love of his life, Sara Lynn Alberts, on September 13, 1969, in Denver, Colo. They raised one son, Shane. The family lived in Montana, Washington and settled in Wyoming in 1983. Later calling Basin, Wyo., home after living in Riverton, Thermopolis and Alaska.
Ralph was proud of his service to his country. He was an avid outdoorsman and actively involved in the First Baptist Church in Basin. He made many friendships with members of the church and enjoyed Men's bible study and Sunday Services. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Sara; son, Shane (Mandy); grandson, Sawyer; and sister, Michelle (Don) Hastings.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Deaner; and his parents.
Ralph will be cremated, and services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Basin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 22. Pastor Aaron Gesch will officiate the service.
