Drug ring king pin arrested in Thermopolis

On December 3, the Thermopolis Police Department teamed with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation in taking down the Thermopolis King Pin of a multi-state/multi-person drug ring. This drug ring involved residential areas throughout multiple Thermopolis neighborhoods. These efforts led to the arrest and multiple charges of Thermopolis resident Terrance B. Sani and several other drug ring members.

Officer Mike Mascorro was the instrumental investigator for the Thermopolis Police Department that led this 11 month narcotics investigation. Officer Mascorro coordinated all TPD team efforts with Wyoming DCI. Such efforts involved surveillance, intelligence gathering, associated arrests, and "controlled buys".

Both agencies worked together in conducting multiple methamphetamine "controlled buys". The numerous amounts of methamphetamine received from Sani were purchased with marked US currency. A recent search warrant carried out at the Sani residence revealed this marked US currency mixed in with bulk-cash located inside Sani's home and his vehicle. Additional controlled substances were also found in the Sani residence during execution of the search warrant.

Sani made his initial appearance in Circuit Court on December 4 on three felony charges of Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methampehtiamine). Sani's bond was set at $10,000 cash. Sani paid his bond later the same day and was released.

On Dec. 18, Sani was arrested again for alleged methamphetamine and THC use. His bond was set at $1,000 cash on the misdemeanor charges. Sani posted the bond and was released.
