December events planned

Ralph Witters Elementary PTO is happy to announce opportunities for members of our community to donate and support our students and teachers during the Christmas holiday.

A teacher Christmas tree will be located just inside the front entrance of RWE from December 2-16. Teachers will hang ornaments with classroom items they need on the tree. Parents, guardians, and students may pick up an ornament from the tree and bring the gift to the office during school hours before December 18. 

RWE PTO will also be holding their Annual Christmas Basket Auction. Through the proceeds of this auction, they have provided a book for each student at RWE at the Spring Book Fair for the last 2 years and hope to do so again this year.

The auction will be different this year because the RWE concert will not be in person.  Donated items will be on display at the Kirby Creek Mercantile on December 16-17.  The items will be posted on the RWE PTO Facebook page. Bids can be made in the comment section under each item. Bidding will open at 6 a.m. on December 17. The winner of each item will be determined by the last bid at 6 p.m. the same day.  Winners of each item will need to pay for and pick up their basket at Kirby Creek Mercantile on Friday, December 18 by 2 p.m.

If your business would like to participate by providing a Christmas gift basket for the auction, please deliver your basket Kirby Creek Mercantile by December 15.
