Your source for news in Hot Springs County
Time is running out to get your name on the list to receive a Christmas Basket of food for your family.
Continuing a 24-year tradition, people may sign up for the baskets by calling the H.O.P.E. Agency or Public Health through December 7. Curbside pickup, or delivery if necessary, will be on Saturday, December 19 from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m.
Normally, about 100 boxes are filled for Hot Springs County families, but this year the numbers are way down and there is concern folks are in need but not sure where to turn for help.
You may call the H.O.P.E. Agency at 864-4673 or Public Health at 864-3311 to get your name on the list. In addition, you may call the Episcopal Church at 864-3629 between today and Monday to sign up.
Donations are still being accepted for the baskets as well, and may be dropped off at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at the corner of Seventh and Arapahoe Streets.
This weekend there will also be a trailer set up in front of Hazel n Pearls for folks to drop off food.
