FFA program receives grant

The Thermopolis FFA Chapter has received a $2,000 grant from Farm Credit Services.

The funds will be used for students conducting an Agriscience Fair experiment.

In order to receive funds, students filled out a grant request and submitted it to chapter advisor, Becky Martinez.

Funds will be given to students this coming week to purchase items needed for their research.

The idea behind applying for the grant was to give students the opportunity to dream big when it came to their research projects. In the past members have been limited by funds or resources available from their families.

The local Agriscience Fair will take place the beginning of February with the state contest to be held in early March.
