Incumbent John Winter (R) is being challenged by Levi Shinkle (D) for the Wyoming House District 28 seat.
John Winter says he has enjoyed his time representing this district and would really like to continue his job.
“I have learned a lot and hope to do a better job,” he said.
Winter is a Trump supporter and a member of the NRA as well as the Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association and Hot Springs County Farm Bureau. He does not believe in any new taxes for Wyoming’s people.
Winter wants to advocate for multiple use of public land and private property rights. He said, “Remember where we come from.”
Levi Shinkle, a Thermopolis native, says, “Wyoming’s boom and bust economy means every few years, our legislators have the same conversation about the budget, about education spending, even about selling off some of our public lands. It’s time for new voices, new ideas, and new approaches to make sure the Wyoming we pass on to our children is one we can be proud of.”
Shinkle is a proponent of keeping public lands, supporting everyone, regardless of irrelevant factors such as race, religion, gender, origin or income and being a leader in transitioning our economy into a more sustainable future.
