It is still several months away, but Thermopolis Main Street is already well on their way for planning the 2021 Thermopolis Brewfest for June 5.
The onslaught of COVID-19 prevented them from having the 2020 Brewfest so a number of items for the upcoming year have already been taken care of.
Applications for help with advertising have already been sent to the Hot Springs Travel and Tourism board and work is underway to have the event added to the Wyoming Office of Tourism’s website, the Wyoming Brew Trail and the Wyoming Craft Brewers Guild.
They are working on pulling together music and verifying where they will be performing during the event as well as looking for various food vendors.
Along with the adult fun like the corn hole tournament and wiener dog races there will be Main Street items for sale like Christmas ornaments and shirts, historic tours of downtown and fun things for the kids like bouncy houses, sidewalk chalk, a downtown mural and even a giant Jenga game.
So parents don’t have to worry, the group will once again have an identification policy that will include wristbands for those who are of legal drinking age. Everyone can take advantage of courtesy rides from 3-7:30 p.m. during the event to discourage drinking and driving.
There will be more information that comes out about the event in the coming months, but now is a good time to mark your calendar to be in town for the Brewfest.
