Janet Adele Heinze Parrent, 82, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born July 11, 1938, in Lusk, Wyo., she was the daughter of Edward and Adele (St. Clair) Urwin. The family soon moved to Lance Creek where Janet attended Hamilton Dome School, graduating from Thermopolis High School in 1956.
On September 17, 1955, she married Alex "Allen" Heinze in Thermopolis. They lived mostly in Wyoming and Montana raising their three children.
Janet worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses and helped Allen in his accounting practice. After Allen's death in 1990, she worked for Al Hoffman Accounting.
Her interests included knitting, crocheting, reading and was an avid bridge player. She was a kind, generous, loving wife, friend and mother. The past few years she had been an active resident of Wyoming Pioneer Home.
She is survived by her daughters, Melody Zeitner of Georgia and Karla Lange of California; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Beverly McQueen of Thermopolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; son, Ricky; and grandchildren, Wendy, Clint and Nicholas.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 16, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Monument Hill Cemetery.
