Hot Springs County Public Health is now offering flu shots as we begin the 2020 flu season.
You do have to call for an appointment, but you will have the option of having your vaccine administered from the safety of your vehicle this year. You may still go into the office if you prefer, but be aware a mask is required.
The flu shots will be available daily from 3 to 4:40 p.m.
Public health will bill most insurance including Medicare and Medicaid. If you are self-pay the vaccine will be $35.
There are a limited number of doses for those who do not have insurance or insurance that does not cover flu shots, but you must be 19-years or older.
So far, there has been a positive response to the flu shot with Public Health seeing normal numbers for this time of year. They are however providing the vaccine to other businesses in order to get better coverage this year.
If you would like to get your flu shot please call 864-3311 to make an appointment.
