Lorraine Remsing, 88, passed away September 28, 2020, while in hospice care at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Worland Wyo.
Lorraine was born to Vincent and Agnes Trinka on November 4, 1931, in Dunn County, N.D. She and her older brother, Gene, were raised in Manning, N.D. Lorraine enjoyed sharing the stories of her childhood. She loved music and dancing, especially the polka. Soon after graduating high school, she and William (Bill) Remsing were joined in marriage. During her years of employment, she generally held positions of accountant/secretary.
Lorraine moved from Dickenson, N.D. to Thermopolis, Wyo., in the late fall of 2008 where she shared the home of John Hausauer. She quickly became a member of the VFW and the Federated Community Church and began making many friends including her neighbors.
Lorraine was a great cook. Her home-made doughnuts were a favorite of friends and family. She loved visiting with friends and family. A chat with her was bound to be full of giggles as she was one to find the humor in most any subject. Her sunny outlook brightened the day of anyone beside her. Her beautiful smile and easy laughter, her willing hands and generous heart will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Lorraine is survived by two nieces, Pamela Trinka (Antonio Llanos) of Mesa, Ariz., and Jacque (Ronnie Diamond) of Bellingham, Wash.; and a nephew, Donald (Alice) Trinka of Bremerton, Wash., and their respective children. Of special mention is the Hausauer family of Dunn County, N.D., who were friends since childhood including Ed (Vera) Hausauer of Thermopolis; John's son Troy of Douglas, Wyo., Judy Huber and family of Dickenson, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Agnes Trinka; husband, Bill Remsing; brother, Gene; and sister-in-law Irene; and her special friend John Hausauer.
Cremation has taken place. As per Lorraine's request, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.
